On my approach, some ducks slipped back into the reeds before I could fully survey the scene and set-up. I suspect they were the other members of her flock, as I received her undivided attention. She just paddled about. She made a couple of quick dives as if to say 'watch me... see, nothing here... move along.' The others did not re-appear. So I took a few shots of her and the hint.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675246694063227553.post-33949972032516678872014-05-08T00:00:00.000-04:002014-05-08T00:00:08.148-04:001945: Spring Signals
Native wild Trillium in my garden. Getting a photograph of these critters while they are in their natural setting is very difficult. As you can see here, their coloration allows them to blend almost perfectly. Also, they tend to feed at night and are rarely out during the day. Usually, they are encountered as they fly away when flushed.
A neat bird!Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675246694063227553.post-51179945639857845042014-05-03T00:00:00.000-04:002014-05-03T00:00:02.767-04:001940: Fresh...
Bald Eagles @ Magee Marsh Wildlife Area, Oak Harbor, Ohio.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675246694063227553.post-62396914085487619852014-05-02T00:00:00.000-04:002014-05-02T00:00:06.893-04:001939: Sly Woodies
Pair of wild male Wood Ducks slowly slipping into the nearby reeds and out of sight.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675246694063227553.post-16339988464791228282014-05-01T00:00:00.000-04:002014-05-01T00:00:03.708-04:001938: Ready...
Alert Redwing Blackbird.Unknownnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6675246694063227553.post-33488194073300891122014-04-30T00:00:00.000-04:002014-04-30T00:00:04.914-04:001937: Pop-Up
With Winter slowly fading, the pace of life is picking up in my garden.
