1664: Chevrons

Chevrons
Giant Swallowtail butterfly resting on a sunny spot deep in some nearby woods. Also, the migrant Spring-Summer resident Redwing Blackbirds that settle into a pond near my home have left as they seem to do every year around 01 August. Their moving on is normal. A sure sign our seasons are about to change and Fall, then Winter, is on the way. My first sure sign of Spring is the emergence of the Mourning Cloak butterfly in mid-March.
